Pulse is Kenya's first AI-native sentiment intelligence platform, built to give brands, agencies, and public sector teams a clear read on how the country actually feels. We set out to close a real gap in the market: most listening tools were built for Western audiences and missed the texture of Kenyan conversation across Sheng, code-switching, and the platforms where opinion really forms. The platform unifies social, news, and broadcast signal into one continuously updating view of public mood, with the nuance to distinguish a passing complaint from a brewing reputation event. Our work centered on making complex NLP outputs feel as legible as a weather forecast, so that a brand manager, a campaign strategist, or a comms lead could act on what they were seeing within minutes. Pulse positions Neoafric as the default sentiment layer for organizations that need to understand Kenya at the speed it moves.

Pulse Re-Imagined

Sentiment platforms tend to overwhelm users with charts before earning their trust. We took the opposite approach with Pulse, opening every session with a single narrative summary of the day's mood across the topics a user tracks. From there the interface unfolds into deeper layers: trend lines, source breakdowns, sample posts, and side-by-side comparisons across brands or candidates. Each surface was designed to answer a specific question a decision-maker already has, rather than asking them to learn a new analytics language.

Real-Time Topic Pulse

The Topic Pulse module turns any subject, a brand, a politician, a policy, a competitor, into a live dashboard that refreshes as conversation evolves. Users can pin topics, set thresholds for volume or sentiment shifts, and receive alerts when something genuinely changes rather than when noise simply spikes. Underneath sits a tuned NLP pipeline that handles Kenyan English, Swahili, and Sheng, with confidence scores exposed so analysts can audit the model's reading rather than take it on faith. The result is a tool that earns the trust of researchers while staying simple enough for a busy executive to glance at between meetings.
